Firebirds

I feel like my last couple of posts have been a lot of "you could do better." I was starting to lose faith in the restaurant biz, but then we visited Firebirds in the Chisholm Creek development and all was right in the world.
We were promptly seated without any reservation confusion. Waters were immediately brought to our table and refilled the entire time. Our server was quick with the drinks and we received complimentary bread. Everyone's dish looked bomb.com, but I can only speak for the crispy fish tacos which rocked. my. world. They had just enough of a kick to keep it interesting. So yeah, pretty much 10/10.
When we paid, our kind server Jeremy, didn't ask a single soul if they wanted change, because he's obviously smart and knows that question is ridiculous.
The drink of the day for our table was the Double Black Diamond Martini, which is basically heaven in a glass. If you're wanting a more specific explanation, here's what the say about it on their menu: "A masterful infusion of fresh pineapple and New Amsterdam® Pineapple Vodka, garnished with a juicy pineapple slice."
Here's what brunchers said were their faves about today:
Ranch Rings - Megan
The healthy options and nutritional menu - Lacey
The pineapple drink! - Mandy (Told you so)
Service & Food - Tammy Poinsettia (Mimosa with cranberry juice) - Angie
French Fries - Sarah
Great food, atmosphere and service. - Rhianne
When asked what could be improved, you'll notice there's nothing about our experience today that was negative:
We could have been offered the Brunch Club discount! - Rhianne (Or educator discount, because 5/9 were educators...but really, jk.) Breakfast choices - Sarah (True. This isn't somewhere you go for ideal breakfast/brunch options.) Free cocktail refills - Tammy (And the crowd said "AMEN") Nothing - Mandy (Fist bump) No complaints - Lacey (High five) No idea - Megan (Thumbs up)
100% of our group said they'd return to Firebirds. Way to go, Firebirds! Also, way to go Jeremy! Awesome service.
And now I feel like I need to address a little something. I've been receiving messages about how one could go about joining the Brunch Club. The initial goal was not only to try new places, but to establish a group of gals who may not otherwise know one another. We range anywhere from 10-15 people at brunch and quite frankly, to keep our reservations from becoming insane, is enough for now. I don't consider it to be an exclusive group, as it truly was developed to meet and greet. I am thinking of a way to involve more community members and those of you with an interest in joining us! Our little group is funny, kind and full of opinions and conversations. I'd love for more people to experience this. Stay tuned or fire some ideas my way.
