Our burger industry in Oklahoma is somewhat saturated. We just aren't lacking in burger joints. I originally heard rave reviews about Sun Cattle Co. and then started reading more of the so-so experiences.

I finally had the opportunity to try their menu on a Monday in May. I opted for a fried onion cheeseburger with an order of fries---basically your basic betch order. In their defense, my sinuses were raging so I couldn't taste at full capacity---the burger was probably good. The other two accompanying me enjoyed their burgers, so I assume I did too. However, the fries, the fries were a different story. They were cold to the touch and upon eating them, they were uncomfortably stiff like they were maybe from the night before. I ate less than 10 and the rest found their destiny in the trash. If a french fry rescue were a thing, I would've loaded these up and dropped them off. The other two people also had fries with comparable stories. I can't imagine the fries being spectacular even if they were heated appropriately. Truthfully, they resembled McDonald's fries and I think if I showed you Sun Cattle Co.vs. McDonald's you'd be unable to differentiate the two. The difference? McDonald's fries taste good and are typically warm with the right amount of salty goodness. Yes, I just complimented McDonald's. See the sad potato sticks below:

My total for a burger, fries, soda, and a side of ranch was a bit over $17.00. I can't say I won't return, but it would have to be a last resort kind of thing.
Happy dining---
